Cafe Sure, nestled near Jardin Guerrero in Queretaro, is a hidden gem that rewards those who seek it out. Tucked away in the corner of Plaza Jacaranda, this cafe offers a tranquil escape from the bustling city streets. This is no ordinary cafe — it’s a passion project, a love letter that shows the utmost admiration and recognition for the entire coffee process. From sourcing only the highest quality ingredients, every subtle step taken before the cup arrives at your table is done with intention and precision. More than once I have heard the baristas speak passionately of the origins of the coffee served — how a particular bean required hands-on care from a human to harvest, dry, and mill. And how these unseen workers deserve our respect. There’s a quiet, understated manner in which Cafe Sure operates. On your first visit, this might seem just like any other spot you’ve been to, beginning with a friendly welcome from those behind the bar. As you pore over the menu, you see that they prepare all their desserts in-house and roast their own beans. You may notice that someone behind the bar appears almost statuesque, as they prepare an order with unwavering attention. A ritual they’ve performed thousands of times, yet one that still demands patience and focus. It’s no wonder each cup feels like a brewed expression of tradition and dedication. So when you stop in for a cuppa, close your eyes and pause for a moment... allow the flavor to tell you its story. Just before it is forever lost, beneath the mountain of sugar in which you inevitably bury it.

This was my go-to cafe in QRO. The coffee is great (the owner roasts his own), as is the food, and the courtyard out back catches the breezes, has a lovely Jacaranda in the middle and hummingbirds flitting from flower to flower. Its a real haven amidst the hustle and bustle of QRO. And try the macha frappe... you won't be sorry ...
